Baynox® Solution Biodiesel Stabilizer (Baynox®) is suitable for making biodiesel storage-stable.

Baynox® prevents the premature oxidation of unsaturated fatty acid esters in biodiesel and hence the formation of highly volatile compounds and corrosive carboxylic acids. In particular, Baynox prevents the early formation of polymerized and cross-linked biodiesel gums that can precipitate and could damage diesel engines.

Baynox® Solution Biodiesel Stabilizer is a mixture of 20% high purity 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol dissolved in specially manufactured high-purity RME biodiesel which meets both E DIN 51606 and EN 14214.

Baynox does not have a corrosive action on metals and combusts without residue. It is not a hazardous material and does not require labeling in line with the Regulations on Hazardous Substances. It is not subject to the Regulations on Flammable Liquids (VbF).

• The recommended concentration is 0.1 - 1.0 % l/l

Usual addition rates are 0.1% to 0.5% by volume (i.e. 1–5 litres made up to 1,000 litres with biodiesel)

Required treat rate is dependent upon the natural stability of the biodiesel used. The customer must determine the required dosage and check compatability with the biodiesel they have produced.
